Nypass Special Grade Uninhibited Transformer Oil

NYPASS acts to hinder or slow down reactions between oil compounds and copper surfaces in transformers, thereby reducing the risk of forming conductive compounds.

The addition of a metal passivator is recommended by the maintenance guide IEC 60422, edition 4. This technique has been successfully used to mitigate the formation of potentially corrosive sulfur. Typically, about 100 mg/kg (0.01% by weight) of NYPASS is added to inhibit copper reactions with corrosive sulfur, enhancing transformer longevity and operational safety.
